PM Mitsotakis to visit island of Chios on Friday
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will tour the island of Chios on Friday, starting with the Town Hall of Chios proper and the Region of North Aegean offices.
According to a statement from his press office, Mitsotakis will chat with residents at the pedestrian walkway on Aplotaria Street.
At 11:30, the premier will attend an event officially celebrating Saint George, patron saint of the army, at the 'Gialas' Army Camp. In the afternoon, he will visit the museum commemorating the slaughter of islanders in 1822 at the St. Minas Monastery, followed by a visit to the Chios Mastic Research Center.
