SYRIZA leader to meet President Papoulias on Monday (03/11)
Main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras is to be received by President of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias next Monday, the main opposition announced.
Sources said that Tsipras asked for the meeting in order to brief the president on his party's positions concerning Greece's public debt and the economy, as well as international affairs.
The sources stressed that there is no change in SYRIZA's position that the country must have early elections, leading to a new government with a fresh popular mandate that can negotiate concerning the country's debt. The party is also fixed in its positions concerning the upcoming election of a new Greek president.
