Thessaloniki Film Festival kicks off with screening of 'White God'

The 55th Thessaloniki International Film Festival began on Friday (31/10), with screenings of Greek and foreign films at venues through the northern Greek city.

The highlight of the evening is the official opening ceremony at the Olympion cinema in Aristotelous Square, with a screening of the film "White God" directed by Kornel Mondruczo.

Serb director Zelimir Zilnik will be in the city for the start of the festival, which has planned a tribute that includes 13 of his films at the Pavlos Zannas theatre.
A total of 150 films will be screened during the film festival, between Friday and November 9.
