Defence Minister Dendias briefs DIMAR leader Kouvelis
Defence Minister Nikos Dendias on Monday (24/11) briefed Democratic Left (DIMAR) leader Fotis Kouvelis on his ministry's political priorities.
In a statement after their meeting, Dendias said that he gave an overall picture of the provocations and the difficulties the armed forces are facing.
Kouvelis said that he was briefed in detail by the political and military leadership of the ministry and underlined that the armed forces need the support of all the political forces because they are in continuous alertness due to the Turkish provocations.
Despite the fact that the country is going through an economic crisis, the financial support of the military staff must be one of the State's priorities. He also added that DIMAR will, within the measure of its powers, contribute towards this direction.
