Ice Hotel: Art in ice

Ice Hotel: Art in ice

It took 1,600 tons of ice and 42 artists to complete the 25th Ice Hotel, this time in the village Jukkasjärvi, Sweden. The result: Magic!

The Ice Hotels are created in different parts of the world every time, as long as there are ice and low temperatures. The most recent opened in Sweden and has 16 suites, each with a different theme.
The artists involved in the design choose their topic and they sculpt the ice to make suites, which although are expensive, will remain unforgettable.

You have many options. For example, Thomas Czajkowski and Eryk Marks, have design the Borderland suite, which follows the style of traditional wooden houses in Eastern Poland. Unlike the above, the 7,5 ° Rø suite is constructed from 12 panels which are intertwined and draw their inspiration from the astrophysicist Ole Christensen Rømer.

In any case be prepared for real cold. Art wants sacrifices!
