First waterway to open at the port of Corfu
A decision on the inauguration of the first waterway in Greece at the port of Corfu was signed on Saturday by Shipping and Aegean Minister Miltiadis Varvitisiotis and Deputy Infrastructures, Transport and Networks Minister Mihalis Papadopoulos.
Varvitsiotis stated after the signing "today we introduce a new means of transport that contributes in the tourism sector as well as in the economic growth of the country. We will sign and give licence to more waterways in the near future in order this summer to have the first hydroplane flights in the country".
