PM Tsipras to chair gov't meeting to prepare for Schulz visit
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has called a meeting at the government headquarters in Maximos Mansion at 18:00 on Wednesday (28/01/2015) to prepare for a visit by European Parliament President Martin Schulz to Athens on Thursday.
The meeting will be atteded by government Vice-President Yiannis Dragasakis, Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis and Economy, Infrastructure, Shipping and Tourism Minister George Stathakis.
According to sources, Schulz is visiting Athens to sound out the positions of the new government toward Greece's creditors and will also discuss preparations ahead of a visit by Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem on Friday.
Government sources said that the government is preparing a complete dossier that will soon be ready in order to negotiate on a new basis, in line with its policy announcements.
