Tsipras to brief Parliament on negotiation with partners

rime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Monday will brief the Parliament on issues regarding the current negotiation with the partners.

The discussion is expected to take place at 20.00 at the plenary of the Parliament on a political leader's level at an initiative of the prime minister.

According to government officials, Tsipras is expected to ask the party leaders to express their opinion regarding the government legislative initiatives against the humanitarian crisis and the debt settlement to 100 instalments. They will also be called to express their view on Tsipras' initiative to set the issues of Siemens and the occupation loan to German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

According to the same government officials, the prime minister is expected to make an overall review of the government work.

Meanwhile, the government council, during its meeting on Sunday, approved the reform list that the government sent to the Brussels Group.

Tsipras briefed the government council on the reform list which, according to government officials, will have a positive fiscal result and transfer the burden from the low and middle class incomes to the high incomes. They added that the government reforms have been priced.

The government is aiming at a 1.5 percent primary surplus in 2015 and a 1.4 percent growth rate, excluding the 2.0 billion euro Junker package aid.

The issue of the Piraeus Port Organisation (OLP) and the high-security prisons bill, which will be tabled in Parliament within the week, were also discussed.
