Centre of Athens shut down for Labour Day action
Downtown Athens is closed as of this morning, Friday, for strike rallies to commemorate Labour Day (May 1).
Labour unions and associations affiliated with the Communist Party of Greece are rallying at Syntagma Square, while another group is at Klafthmonos Square, on Stadiou, including the Athens Labour Centre and the two umbrella unions in Greece, GSEE of the private sector and ADEDY of the public sector.
