Brussels Group talks to be resumed on Monday

The meetings of the Brussels Group and a seven-member Greek negotiating team will be resumed on Monday, after a one-day break, and possibly continue until next Wednesday, European diplomatic sources said here.

They reported convergence of views on a number of issues, with considerable distance still to be covered on the pension system and labour market regulations.
According to sources from within the institutions (European Commission, ECB and IMF), talks concerning Greece's social insurance system on Friday did not make significant progress, while the talks on labour market laws stumble on the Greek side's goal to abolish various reforms passed by previous governments.
They noted, however, that the negotiations were being conducted "constructively," with one European official noting that the process was significantly improved with "clear deadlines, more structured talks and the participation of more experts with more details."
