Greece has a lot of work to do, German FinMin Schaeuble says

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble in a radio interview on Sunday (24/05) said that Greece has a lot of work to do, adding that it should not expect any further concessions from Germany.

"Greece vowed to fulfil the programme on February 20 and as a result there's no need to talk about alternatives," Schaeuble underlined to Deutschlandfunk.

The German Finance Minister noted that the successful conclusion of the current programme is a prerequisite for everything.

"The Greek government has still to deal with some rather important problems. I wish it good luck and it will certainly have every possible support, but it cannot avoid the resolution of that problem," he said.

Asked if he has confidence in the Greek government, he said: "In international relations, we should always show respect. Greeks have voted for this government and this government has its responsibilities ... They should know that we will also respect our pledges."
