Wildfire on Lesvos
A wildfire that broke out on Sunday morning at the area of Aghia Marina on Lesvos island is currently in full progress.
Due to the strong winds that are blowing in the area the Fire Brigade intensified their efforts to fight the blaze.
11 Fire engines with a 26 member crew, 34 firefighters on foot, 4 water dropping helicopters and two firefighting aircrafts are currently battling the blaze.
The fire is burning pine trees. Residential areas are not in danger.
