Retired policeman who killed man in central Athens surrenders to police
A 60-year-old retired policeman who shot a man in central Athens on Friday (21/10/2016) afternoon surrendered to police, accompanied by relatives, the police said on Saturday. He also handed in the murder weapon.
The retired policeman had a serious altercation with a 68-year-old gym owner in the area of Ambelokipi and then shot and killed him. After the crime, he fled the scene and police had been looking for him.
