PM Tsipras to brief Parliament on negotiations

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Friday will brief the Parliament on the course of the negotiations.

The prime minister will respond to a question raised by Centrists' Union leader Vassilis Leventis.

According to government sources, Tsipras will explain the agreement reached at the Eurogroup on Monday that allowed the return of the technical staff in Athens so that the second programme review is concluded.

Meanwhile, Tsipras spoke on the phone with IMF chief Christine Lagarde on the steps taken from both sides. It now lies within the German side to take clear steps regarding the reduction of primary surplus targets after the end of the programme as well as the debt issue, the same sources said.

Leventis will ask details on the measures taken and their impact on the Greek people.
