Freighter allegedly carrying contraband cigarettes led to Heraklio
A Tanzanian-flagged freighter, which is probably carrying contraband cigarettes, was located in the bay of Sfakia, Crete.
The ship with six member crew, all Ukrainian nationals, has sailed from Montenegro with destination Libya. The freighter docked in Sfakia and tried to unload its cargo.
The vessel is led to the port of Heraklion where it is expected at approximately 20:00 where the Coast Guard will conduct an investigation and the ship will be checked thoroughly.
