Vessel carrying refugees and migrants in distress off the coast of Pylos
A vessel carrying 75 migrants and refugees was located 45 nautical miles southwest of the town of Pylos on Monday. Based on initial reports, the passengers called the European emergency number 112 for help.
A freighter is currently approaching the vessel in distress, while a coast guard patrol boat is expected to arrive shortly.
