Shops open on two following Sundays
Small retail shops will be open from 11:00 until 18:00on the two following Sundays, on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, while chain and department stores will remain open until 20:00 to help consumers shop for the holidays.
The Private Employees of Greece Federation declared a nationwide strike and a protest rally at the McArthurGlen retail park on Sunday, in support of shop staff that are being required to work for 30-40 days continuously for yet another year - many of them without a day off or day of rest, or even the 75 pct additional pay for working Sundays.
