Athens Stock Exchange opening: Rise
Equity prices were rising on Wednesday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 0.56 percent standing at 808,53 points at 11.05 am and turnover at 5.95 million euros.
The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.37 percent and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was up 1.04 percent.
On individual sector indices the biggest gains were in Banks (+2.85 percent) and Technology (+2.04 percent).
The biggest losses were in Food (-1.35 percent) and Telecoms (-1.04 percent).
Of the stocks traded, 37 were up, 13 were down and 14 were unchanged.
