EU Commissioner Moscovici signals Greece's exit from assistance programmes
European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici on Tuesday sent a positive signal that the end of the memorandum programmes in Greece was imminent, at a meeting with the European Parliament's Progressive Alliance (Socialist-Greens-Left).
Moscovici posted on his Twitter account that he exchanged views with the Progressive Alliance on Greece's exit from the assistance programmes, as well as on the state of leftist political forces in Europe.
European Parliament Vice President and SYRIZA MEP Dimitris Papadimoulis attended the meeting.
