Novartis scandal "one of the most extreme expressions of corruption", Interior Min Skourletis says
The Novartis scandal is "one of the most extreme expressions of corruption, a result of the oldest predominant political system in Greece," Interior Minister, Panos Skourletis, said on Wednesday in statements to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency's radio station Praktoreio 104.9 FM.
Skourletis also refuted the opposition's statements that the case comprised a "set-up" and a "political persecution", arguing that the scandal was not revealed by Greek sources, as much of the data came from foreign authorities. He called on the persons involved in the case to focus on preparing their testimonies, adding that the case must proceed so that responsibilities are assigned.
