Fugitive from Tyrintha prison arrested at Krystallopigi border station
A 42-year old Albanian national who had escaped from Tiryntha prison was arrested at the border station of Krystallopigi on the Greek-Albanian border on Friday evening.
According to a police announcement, the fugitive attempted to enter the country through Krystallopigi borders station with fake travel documents.
The Albanian national escaped from prison in 2016 where he served long term sentences for robberies and weapon possession.
