Counter-terrorism squad on trail of alleged far-right criminal group, detains six
Greece's counter-terrorism squad on Tuesday announced that its investigations have led to the discovery of a criminal organisation allegedly linked to the area of the extreme right that may be involved in explosions and arsonist attacks.
It announced that coordinated operations were begun on Tuesday morning in the region of Attica and another Greek city.
According to the police, six persons have been taken in for questioning to examine whether they are members of the organisation, as well as their possible participation in explosions, arsonist attacks and possession of explosives.
A series of search in their houses is currently underway.
Sources said that the case is linked to past actions which were investigated by the counter-terrorism squad.
