Hellenic Diaspora: «We are proud to be Greeks»
The unseparable bond the Hellenic Diaspora maintains with its homeland is confirmed by the Harvard University’s worldwide survey in collaboration with the “Kapa Research” polling agency, which was published in May 29th 2018.
According to the survey’s analytics, more than 8 to 10 Greek citizens living abroad (82%) declare their pride for being Greeks, while an 85% of those questioned replies positively to the sentence: “It has a deeper sense to me, belonging to the Hellenism”.
As for the word which first come into mind when one hears the word “Greece”, 62% replies with the word “pride”, 10% says the word “responsibility”, while an 11% of the interviewees equalizes the initial word with the term “disappointment”.
