Greek government, institutions reach staff level agreement
Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos announced that the government and the institutions reached a staff level agreement on the fourth review of the Greek programme late Saturday.
The minister said that the agreement will be ratified at Thursday's Eurogroup where there will be additional details on the discussion for the settlement of the Greek debt. The post-memorandum surveillance will be discussed at June 21 Eurogroup's meeting.
Tsakalotos said that "the SLA is concluded. We have an overall agreement which will be ratified on Thursday. We know exactly what we must do until June 21. Some issues are technically difficult and we must rush and be organised. There will be more information on the debt on Wednesday and the post-memorandum surveillance will be discussed on June 31.
He also added that "matters we believed thorns, were solve in a satisfactory way for the Greek side. Obviously, we moved an inch or two in some matters but I believe that the discussion was constructive and to the point. I am happy on many points".
