What should you do, after you drop your Smartphone in water?

If your cell phone gets wet, you aren't covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

The first thing they will tell you if you call the technical support is to remove the battery, if the battery is removable.

Also, most will tell you that you can't do anything, as the chances to save your Smartphone from water are minimal.

But there are exceptions. A few, but they exist.

The first thing to do is to resist the temptation to check that your Smartphone continues to operate. Don't turn on your phone and don't start pressing buttons, even these on the side. Remove everything removable, battery, SIM card, memory card and cover.

If your phone fell in the sea, immediately clean it! Wipe, try to air dry (with spray clean for keyboards).

If after removing the battery, you see any stickers soaked enough, chances are reduced.

Don't use hair dryers or a paper towel to dry your Smartphone!

Don't put your Smartphone in the oven, even at low temperature!

Put your phone for 24 or 48 hours, some leave it for weeks, when their attempt doesn't work the first 24 hours, because, as you know, hope, not a Smartphone, dies last, along with its accessories in a bag or bowl of rice, even black, and expect for a miracle, which is to pull all the moisture.

Having exhausted your patience, remove the Smartphone and its accessories from the rice, assemble the pieces, yours first, its own then, charge it and make a wish.
