US intelligence officials on MH17 crash: No evidence of direct Russian involvement

Senior US intelligence officials revealed that they have no evidence of direct Russian government involvement in the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17.

The plane was probably shot down by an SA-11 surface-to-air missile fired by separatists in eastern Ukraine, probably by mistake and with lack of experience in hi-tech missiles, is claimed their announcement.

However, the intelligence officials keep 'blaming' Russia for "creating the conditions".

Being cautious in their assessment U.S. experts said that they did not know who fired the missile or whether any Russian operatives were present at the missile launch.

"We don't know a name, we don't know a rank and we're not even 100 percent sure of a nationality" one official said.
