Patras mayor meets with visiting Russian ambassador to Athens
The mayor of Patras in southern Greece on Thursday received visiting Russian Ambassador to Athens Andrey Maslov focusing on cultural cooperation issues between the seaport city and Russia.
They also discussed recent economic events in Russia that affected Greece as well, including the bankruptcy of major tour operators and the embargo on the imports of fresh fruits and vegetables, with the Russian ambassador noting that “we do not like reality but we were forced by the European Union. We are optimistic,” an announcement by the City of Patras said.
