Employees of HRC: "Black Page" the auction of "Henry Dunant"

The auctioning of "Henry Dunant" is described as "black page" in the history of the Hellenic Red Cross (HRC), by the association of workers in the largest humanitarian organization in the country, which, having already lost a large part of its fortune (with effects to its contribution to Greek society), is led to deadlock.

In a statement, the Association points out that there are major responsibilities, which "unfortunately nobody takes" as "everything spent by the Red Cross to set up a charitable foundation and a hospital was lost in an instant and also perished the charitable purposes of the hospital."

Furthermore, pose a survival issue of Hellenic Red Cross and the continuation of its work.

The announcement of the Board of the Association of Workers in Hellenic Red Cross (HRC):

"The 24th of September is a black page in the history of the HRC. It is the day, in which via the auction of the Henry Dunant Hospital, HRC lost a large piece of property and offer to the Greek society. The creation of the Henry Dunant hospital was to serve public purposes. Furthermore, planned return to the HRC through the surpluses of the hospital.

The amount that the HRC had spent to create a charitable foundation and a hospital, was lost in one moment and lost with it, the charitable purposes of the foundation. The responsibilities are major. Unfortunately, no one takes the responsibilities, leading the largest humanitarian organization of our country to deadlock.
No responsibilities for the elected administrations of HRC which managed also Henry Dunant?

No responsibilities to interim administrations which were appointed by decisions of the courts to take the temporary management of HRC and, hence, the Henry Dunant Foundation?

No information. No response. Not even for the brand name of Henry Dunant which went to auction. Nobody tried and is not trying now, to ensure the sustainability of HRC and the continuation of its work, which the Greek society needs.

Unfortunately, it was demonstrated once again that values have collapsed and by this way are affected the vulnerable groups in need of support of HRC and the thousands of volunteers with the faith, the ideology and the vision to offer to people next to us."
