Independent Greeks propose 100 installments of arrears payment for all debtors
Independent Greeks (ANEL) on Friday 24/10/2014, attacked the government on the amendment for arrears to the state and proposed the settlement of overdue debt in 100 installments regardless of the amount.
Elena Kountoura, ANEL parliamentary group secretary, noted that the government "once again legislates for the few" adding that "the amendment regarding the 100 installments of overdue debts to the state is not applicable to a large number of debtors, as there is a 15,000 euro ceiling and the precondition that debtors have a tax clearance report."
"In order for all citizens to be able to repay their debts" the Independent Greeks recommended "the settlement of overdue debts to the state in 100 installments regardless of the amount."
