Tsipras: The House can't elect President of the Republic-We'll go to elections

In the outcome of yesterday's elections, which featured a historic reversal, mentioned the president of SYRIZA outgoing the Presidential Palace.

Mr. Tsipras, who today visited the President of the Republic, Karolos Papoulias, said: "I visited the President to raise the question of the outcome of yesterday's elections; an outcome that creates a new political field. We have a historic reversal. It is not only the victory of SYRIZA. But the loss of 11% of electoral rates of the government coalition parties, since the elections of June."

"This shows an inconsistency in the will of the Greek people and the political balance in the House," he said, adding that the House is not entitled any more to elect the President of the Republic, and called for "National Elections as soon as possible, in a coordinated manner" .

He also warned the prime minister to "not dare, with these minority rates, to proceed in appointing a new Governor of the Bank of Greece and a EU Commissioner. To not dare to apply new memorandums, cuts, layoffs, privatization of water and selling of public assets."
