Another setting ... of shame by the "representatives" of the people - Kapernaros: "I feel disgusted and ashamed that I am in the same room with those who brought the country into this mess"
The angry reaction of the independent MP, Vasilis Kapernaros, caused by government intervention in the bill for the finances of political parties, where, among other things, is provided tax free ... for those who finance political parties and parliamentarians.
"Only shame should feel, those who inspired and those who support the bill which provides tax-free for those who finance political parties and MPs," says Mr. Kapernaros in a statement and continues:
"The parties which gave birth in the interweaving of interests in Greece, New Democracy and PASOK, now try to serve their paymasters by exempting them from taxes and bureaucracy. The truth is that in Greece in 2014, if you give money to political parties, you do not pay taxes, if you make a donation to your child, they make you kneel.
Let us finally wake up and see the reality beyond partisan labels. These people feed on corruption and interweaving interests and today seek to legitimize those illegalities that are doing and going to do. I feel disgusted and ashamed that I am in the same room with people who brought my country in this mess and everyday pushing the country deeper into the mire. The only reason that I am not resigning is because I swore that I will stay to humiliate those who humiliate the institutions and the Greek people."
