The case on the wreck in Farmakonisi is filed
By decision of the Piraeus Navy Justice, the case on the wreck in Pharmakonisi was filed.
This effectively closes the judicial investigation of any responsibilities of men of the Coast Guard for the tragic wreck, during which eight children and three women from Afghanistan were killed.
For the matter, a press conference was scheduled for Thursday from the Greek Council for Refugees, the Greek Association for Human Rights, the Social Network Support for Refugees and Immigrants and the Group of Lawyers for the Rights of Refugees and Migrants.
The tragic incident occurred on January 20th of 2014 with the survivors complaining for errors, statements which were rejected by the men who took part in the operation.
