Moralis: «No» to OLP privatisation

Piraeus mayor Yiannis Moralis in his address to the municipal council on Thursday,30/10/2014, expressed for one more time his opposition to the privatization of the Piraeus Port Authority (OLP) and said he was in favour of a municipal port fund within the municipality, in case the government proceeded with its privatization plans.

In the mean time, port employees next week will hold a strike against the privatization of ports. According to the Greek Port Employees Federation (OMYLE), the strike has been called for Thursday, November 6, with workers also holding a protest at Klafthmonos square at 12.00 and a march towards the Finance ministry.
