Kammenos on presidential election
Whoever Independent Greeks (ANEL) deputy votes for a Greek President will have no place in the party, its leader Panos Kammenos told Parapolitika radio station on Thursday, 20/11.
He noted the party’s parliamentary group has taken a unanimous decision that “we will not support any candidate for the Greek Presidency.”
He also called deputy Panagiotis Melas – who has not ruled out the possibility of voting for a Greek President – to hand over his parliamentary seat.
Melas, in statements to the same radio station said “There is a 50-50 chance that I will vote” adding that he could cooperate with SYRIZA if he thought that would be in the Greek people's interest.
