ANEL MP Chaikalis claims that someone attempted to bribe him
Independent Greeks (ANEL) MP Pavlos Chaikalis said that he possesses visual and audio material in which a well known individual to political and financial circles, attempts to bribe him in order to change his stance and vote for President of Republic.
Chaikalis said to private TV ANT1 on Friday (19/12/2014) that he was offered 2 to 3 million euros adding that he has submitted the material and testified to the prosecutor two weeks ago.
He claimed that he was offered 700,000 euros in cash and a settlement of his bank loan as well as contracts with advertising firms. He also added that he has informed his party leader Panos Kammenos on the issue as well as his close friend, actor Lakis Lazopoulos.
ANEL leader Panos Kammenos is expected to give a press conference on Friday at 13:00.
