At least 10 people shot at house party in East New York
As many as ten people were shot at 2:30 a.m. Sunday when bullets started flying at a house party in East New York.At least one victim was in critical condition and clinging to life early Sunday, law enforcement sources told The Post.
The gunfire erupted at a building at the intersection of Stanley Avenue and Crescent Street. The carnage spilled out into the streets; one of the victims was found a block away at Loring Avenue and Crescent.
At least four of the victims were at Brookdale Hospital, two of them with injuries minor enough that they were able to walk into the emergency entrance, arriving as two others were rushed inside on gurneys by paramedics.
“I heard more than five shots,” remembered Saylo Alston, a resident at nearby Pink Houses. “I was on my way to the store. Everyone laid down on the ground, and when the shooting stopped, everyone got up and ran. Everyone scattered.”
