The government seeks to conclude programme review in 2017, Interior Min Skourletis says
The government's constant pursuit is to conclude the programme review in 2017 and this is mainly because it confirms and strengthens the good climate in the economy, Interior Minister Panos Skourletis said in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
Skourletis criticized the main opposition party that once again it attempts to create a climate of disaster that does not respond to the current situation as rating agencies and foreign banks have upgraded Greece's credit rating, investments are on an upward trend and unemployment has fallen.
Regarding the investment in the former Helliniko airport site, he said that the procedure followed was a positive one. "In Greece there are laws that must be respected and the protection of antiquities in our country must ultimately be respected as it is part of our identity - and that applies to all the investors," he noted and stressed:
"We should not undermine the identity of our country in the name of the crisis."
