President Pavlopoulos meets with Nicolas Sarkozy
President of the Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos met on Monday with former French President Nicolas Sarkozy at the presidential mansion.
According to sources, their talks focused on the necessary changes that must be implemented in Europe so that it will become stronger and more cohesive.
The same sources said that Sarkozy confirmed that he had been against the possibility of a Grexit when the issue was first raised at the start of the Greek crisis, considering that it would led to the break up of the European Union.
