«We want faster, stronger and fairer growth», Economy and Development Minister Yiannis Dragasakis said in an article published on Sunday in 'Avghi' newspaper.
"Given the country's suffering from a deep crisis," Dragasakis noted, "what we are planning and implementing in the coming period will determine the country's course in the future."
The minister made clear that "acceleration means that investment, funding, licensing, approvals, decisions and procedures need to be promoted more quickly. Everything that can be done today, we cannot leave it for tomorrow."
He also stressed that the country's "tools", ie public investment, development law, NSRF and the new financial instruments, should be used in a coordinated and optimal manner "to contribute to the widespread mobilization of Greece's productive forces towards a single direction."
The Minister of Economy and Development underlined that the catalyst for the achievement of these goals is the "participation of society itself."
"Only if the society participates in the development process, will be able to reap the benefits," concluded Dragasakis.
