Rain mixed with African dust forecast on Sunday
Rainy weather mixed with African dust is forecast in Greece on Sunday, with rain starting in the west and north before gradually spreading to other parts of the country.
The weather service also expects very high concentrations of dust from Africa, blown across the Mediterranean by strong southerly winds reaching up to 8-9 Beaufort, especially in the south and east. Temperatures are forecast to drop, ranging from 8C to 18C in northern Greece, 12C to 20C in western Greece and the Ionian islands, 10C to 21C on the eastern mainland and 15C to 21C on the islands of the Aegean and Crete. Wet weather in Attica clearing up from the afternoon, with temperatures between 13C and 19C. Same in Thessaloniki, with temperatures from 12C to 17C.
