''Growth Strategy for the future'' to be presented at cabinet meeting
The comprehensive plan outlining Greece's strategy after the country's exit from the financial assistance programme will be presented at Monday's cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
The government's aim is for the so-called "Growth Strategy for the Future" to be more than a plan that simply sets growth targets but a comprehensive plan that sets out both the aims in the different areas of social and economic development and specific initiatives and actions to achieve these goals.
It is envisaged as a coherent strategy, starting from the current period in which the country overcomes recession and economic crises and extending over the medium and long-term.
The plan acts as a guarantee that Greece will exit the crisis and become a normal country, a country of the modern Western world, at the heart of the European Union, which has to have a plan for its targets, and how it will achieve them.
