The Greek police investigations move around "usual suspects" in order to find the traces of the ruthless robbers of Distomo.

According to information coming in "light" by the forensic laboratories of the Police, the gun that killed the 39-year old police officer in the robbery in a bank in Holargos in April 2008 was used in two other robberies in the summer of 2006 in Pilea Thessaloniki and in Moschato in Attica.

High-ranking officers of the Police reveal that in the robbery of Pilea, the perpetrators were wrest the gun from the Director of the bank, which was found in possession of Vassilis Paleokostas

According to the publication of the laboratory results about the speedboat of robbers, at least one of the robbers in Distomo, had participated in the bloody robbery.
The officers of the Police consider that this is George Petrakakos, without being able to say with certainty, but the figure of an offender matches that of the 35-year old fugitive.

But what is particularly interesting, is the disclosure of senior officers of the Police, that in the robbery of Pilea, the perpetrators took from the safe the gun of the Director of the Bank, which was found in August 2008 in possession of Vasilis Paleokostas when he was arrested with the anti-authoritarians accomplices, in the den that held hostage the industrialist George Mylonas

According to members of the Police, in the hideout of Paleokostas in Souroti in Halkidiki, were identified the driving licence of George Petrakakis, three improvised explosive devices and an anti-tank RPG-7, the same batch that was used by the terrorist group "Epanastatikos Agonas" (Revolutionary Struggle) on January 12, 2007, to hit the crest of American Embassy in Athens.

They also add that the MP5 submachine gun, which was found in the hideout of the terrorist group in Aiginis Street in Kipseli, was removed from the police guard during a bank robbery on August 25, 2004, in Vas. Olgas Street, in Thessaloniki.

Also, the car Renault Scenic, which had the members of the Revolutionary Struggle before their arrest in April 2010, was allegedly had stolen by George Petrakakis on August 31, 2007 from the home of an entrepreneur in Analipsi in Thessaloniki, while a second car had been used to a robbery attempt of a money transfer vehicle in Epanomí and to the kidnapping of Mylonas.

One or all of the bandits in Distomo were participated in the armed bank robbery in Holargos, during which was killed the 39-year old policeman, (who worked illegally in private security company of the Bank), after a scuffle with offenders.

The genetic material of a man, which was detected in the speedboat, was identified with the genetic material that was found in the formula jockey hat, which the perpetrators had left behind in the armed robbery at the bank in Holargos, which was held on April 17, 2008.

The same biological material identified as corresponding to material which was found in a section of a surgical glove, which the perpetrators had left behind in an armed robbery at a bank branch, which took place on July 23, 2010 in Porto Heli and where the perpetrators took the amount of 236.430 Euros.

According to police statements, the biological material of a man, probably Spyros Dravilas, which was detected in a blood smear in the speedboat, was identified with the biological material of a man, which was detected in objects, found in 2007 in a stolen car abandoned in Vari Attica after a chase with the police. Inside the car were found Kalashnikovs, grenades, bullets and also the fingerprints of the fugitive Spyros Dravilas.

Also, the biological material of a man, detected in an object in the speedboat was identical to that detected in the apartment at the Michael Voda Street in Agios Nikolaos Athens, which was investigated recently by the Counterterrorism Office of the Police.
