Research and business representatives to visit Germany

The General Secretary of Research and Technology (GSRT) Dr. Christos Vasilakos is visiting Germany as head of a Greek mission, comprising 42 representatives of the academic, research and business community, that will participate in the International Networking Event "Successful R&I in Europe 2014 - 6th European Networking Event" under the EU "Horizon 2020".

This international event, held in Dusseldorf on October 30-31, aims at facilitating dialogue and networking meetings between researchers and entrepreneurs aspiring cooperation in European research and innovation, with respect to the "Horizon 2020" programme for the year 2015 and who will come from all EU regions.

On Thursday, 30/10/2014, Vasilakos will meet with German State Secretary for Innovation, Science and Research of North Rhine Westphalia Dr Thomas Grünewald to discuss the prospect for cooperation in research, technology and innovation between the Greek side and the specific German state at institutional and business levels.

During the two-day presence of the Greek mission in Germany, the GSRT head is expected to visit the Competence Centre for Organic Production Technologies of North Rhine-Westphalia, located in the city of Cologne, and the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety, and Energy Technology (UMSICHT) in Oberhausen.
