The propaganda of national understanding and elections
The Action Plan provides once again that the burden will fall on the back of pensioners, insured and employees, as the «success story» continues unabated.
The troika was more than strict with the government representatives in Paris, and yet ...in Athens they still address to the citizens as they are ... aliens.
Maybe that's why, in recent months, the voices that seek national understanding between government and opposition are constantly grown.
These voices are coming not only from politicians but also by the Media, which for their own sake and for their own interests, suggest this as a solution to the impasse of the country.
They want national understanding for election of the President of the Republic, to address the debt. on national issues, for appeasement of the "suddenly" frightened markets and other such beautiful excuses.
Excuses for those who are hooked to the chair of power and for others who are trying to climb, but not to shoulder the whole political cost.
Unfortunately in the logic of the Greek political parties the concept of national consensus does not exist. What is important and determines their attitude is only the benefit to which aspire.
And unfortunately there are several examples which characterize all the parties.
In 2008, K. Karamanlis had asked for consensus from G. Papandreou, albeit belatedly and without to mention the magnitude of the crisis, but received a negative response. The then leader of PASOK wanted power and only this. Unfortunately for Greece, the target was achieved.
The whole political game, aims to the conquest of better power positions and the political survival of some.
Why the voices calling for elections are reduced and why even the opposition lowers the level of expectation for the election of the President of the Republic?
Why suddenly everyone began talking about a national consensus?
For the very simple reason: to not disturb the blessedness of society, not to bring tremors in the country, which would put in adventures the interests of the local political and economic oligarchy and the interests of the creditors.
Which is the national understanding that we speak of?
The national understanding would have a real and not a theatrical sense, only if, for example, punish those responsible for the crisis, or if they plan together a national strategy on national issues.
This indeed would be an honest national understanding. Any other purported agreement is theatrical.
The solution therefore is not the national understanding, since we all understand that it is "just for the show" and not substantial.
The country needs "here and now" to proceed to national elections. Greece is in a very critical juncture and the only that can decide on its future is clearly the Greek people.
The economic, political, and geopolitical developments in Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean impose a strong Greek government that will arise, not by understanding of the political and corporate forces of the country, but by the will of the Greek people.
After all, the very "system" argues that democracy is not being coerced.
Well, after not being coerced, then what is it that we fear?
Let's just let it work, to finally see how effective is, in difficult situations.
It's time for the Greek people to decide for its future and not those who say yes to everything....
