Central Archaeological Council bans Petzl Roc Trip in Meteora

To the disappointment of interested parties, the annual climbing contest, known as Petzl Roc Trip that had been scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 3, 2014 did not receive the prerequisite approval.

Initially an impression was given that monastic community of Meteora was in some way involved in the final decision, since from the beginning it expressed a negative position.

However, KAS grounded the decision on the lack of details provided by the organizers, regarding the climbing routes and parallel activities that would take place during the festival.
