Athens Stock Exchange opening: Rise

The basic share price index was up 0.67 percent, standing at 867.65 points at 11.00 and turnover was at 4.53 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.80 percent and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was up 1.44 percent.

On individual sector indices the bigger gains were in Personal & Household (+1.38 percent) and in Food (+1.18 percent). The heaviest losses were in Real Estate (-0.55 percent) and in Commerce (-0.31 percent).

Of the stocks traded, 50 were up, 14 were down and 13 were unchanged.
