No take-away food or coffee in Athens, Thessaloniki over weekends, says Georgiadis
The decision was taken “as it was observed that large numbers of people crowd in front of food shops”, added Georgiadis, “therefore take-aways are stopped in Athens and Thessaloniki, but delivery orders continue as per usual.”
Additionally, the sale of take-away coffee is not allowed over weekends at bakeries or at any other business where selling coffee is not the main point of sales, the ministry said in another announcement on Saturday.
This decision concerning take-away coffee is effective on Sunday February 7 and on the weekend of February 13-14, only in the regions of Attica, Thessaloniki and Chalkidiki, clarified the ministry.
These measures are effective for the duration of the set of measures decided and announced by the government on Friday, that is until Monday February 15.
