Tension at Korydallos prison hospital
Tension flared earlier on Friday at Korydallos prison hospital when, according to sources, a visiting elderly relative of a Georgian convict was arrested after police found on her a large quantity of drugs.
As soon as his inmates found out what had happened, a group of convicts reacted and caused damage to the ground floor of the hospital while they attacked and lightly injured correctional officers.
According to Justice ministry sources, the incident has ended and the condition is now under control.
