Undocumented migrants rescued in Lesvos
Fifteen undocumented migrants were rescued while other 4 are reported as missing after their boat, carrying an undetermined number of people, sank under unclear circumstances in the early morning hours on Saturday in the sea region south of the northeastern Aegean island of Lesvos.
Eleven undocumented migrants were rescued by the Coastguard and other 4 were picked up by a cargo ship sailing in the region.
A Coastguard vessel, a Super Puma helicopter and a Hellenic Navy ship participate in a search and rescue operation underway to locate the four missing migrants.
