ND leader expresses his sorrow over the murder of lawyer Zafiropoulos
New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed his deep sorrow over the murder of lawyer Michalis Zafiropoulos, in a statement on Friday.
"The brutal murder of Michalis Zafiropoulos deeply saddens me. Apart from being a member of the party he was also my friend. My thoughts are with his mother, his wife, his children and his siblings. I know that nothing can lessen their pain. The authorities must solve this murder as soon as possible," said Mitsotakis.
He also added that ND has long expressed its concern over "the picture of utter lawlessness that prevails even in the heart of Athens."
